Hi, my name is Courtney, and I serve as a mobilizer with Africa Inland Mission here in the Northeastern U.S. It was nearly sixteen years ago that the Lord first introduced me to Africa and opened my eyes to His global work. A very strategic short-term trip filled me with a passion for serving missionary families, and it became the catalyst God used to call my young family into long-term ministry overseas.
For nine years, we had the privilege of caring for the children of missionaries at Rift Valley Academy. During that time, the Lord continued to stir in us an urgency for the unreached, the least reached, those who have yet to hear the name of Jesus. That urgency eventually led us to move to North Africa, where we spent the next three years.
If I had to guess, you probably have your own series of events that brought you here, to my page on the website of Africa Inland Mission, USA. Maybe your first exposure to missions was through a book on God’s heart for the nations – Maybe it was a dynamic speaker, a short-term team from your church, or even growing up on the field yourself.
